In terms of PowerApps, Microsoft introduced a new AI Builder tool. This is an important addition because it allows developers with no code experience to leverage artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions in their applications. AI Builder comes with several integrated AI models, such as text recognition and object recognition AI: “You can access all your AI models in a single pane under the AI Builder ‘Models’ tab, providing key information about each model upfront in a tabular format. Clicking a particular model takes you into its details page, where other key information and actions are made available to the user.” Elsewhere in the Power Platform, Microsoft also announced PowerApps Portal. This new feature allows developers to distribute their websites to customers and collaborators. PowerApps Portal will be available from next month. Developers can use it by creating a new app called a “Portal”, which will be available in PowerApps. The tool comes with an easy to use in-built design engine. Microsoft says the service comes integrated with other tools: “With the introduction of PowerApps Portals, we are also merging the capabilities offered by Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement portals to ensure that all the Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement application portals gets the benefit of our simplified low code offering.”
